Industrial tractors from Bührer were almost exclusively sold directly from the factory. Only in this way could the many individual wishes of the buyers be taken into account. Equipping the vehicles with a more powerful engine or a cable winch were sometimes the main requests. Especially the cable winch was almost the order of the day, since many vehicles were intended for forestry use. The permanently mounted double cable winch was used not only to pull out the tree trunks, but also to load them onto the long log trailer. Not infrequently, the industrial tractor was also a helper in an emergency by pulling stuck vehicles and trailers out of the mud. Whether it was a haulier, a food factory, or a circus; for decades it found buyers from all sectors of industry and commerce. Thanks to the closed cabin and the luxurious equipment, many industrial tractors also found their way abroad, where they strengthened the reputation of these first-class and typically Swiss vehicles.
