In 1946, Hans Hürlimann introduced two of the world’s best tractors to the market: the D 100 and D 200 models. The Hürlimann engine, with an output of 45 PS, was the result of decades of experience in engine manufacturing. The engines were designed according to the principle of direct injection, which was considered cutting-edge at the time. The low-rpm 4-cylinder diesel engine was characterized by its smooth, balanced operation and its exceptionally long service life. For many years, Hürlimann tractors were equipped with the proven Hürlimann worm gear.

It was completely impervious to even the most severe overloads. The worm and worm gear of the Hürlimann tractor were even manufactured on David Brown’s world-famous machines. The Swiss Army was also impressed by Hürlimann’s quality and procured over 120 units of the D 200 model between 1948 and 1952. The last units remained in service until as late as 1992!
