In 2019, Swiss Post committed to converting all of its vehicles to 100% electricity by 2030 at the latest. The conversion of letter delivery vehicles has already taken place successfully and around 6000 tricycle scooters in Switzerland are electric. Around 400 parcel delivery vehicles are currently being replaced by CO2-neutral electric vehicles. Of course, the revolutionary change in strategy does not stop at large trucks. The Swiss company Futuricum, a specialist in the electromobility sector, is modifying 18 to 44-ton trucks based on the Volvo FH and FM, so that emission-free transport is also possible in heavy goods traffic. The first vehicles have recently been registered with Swiss Post.
