The Swiss parliament approved the purchase of six PC-21s in December 2006. On January 22, 2007, the contract with Pilatus was signed, covering six PC-21s and supporting logistics and technology for the planned PC-21 Jet Pilot Training System (JEPAS PC-21) to be operated by SAF. The PC-21s will be delivered at the end of 2007 and deployed by the Air Force from March 2008.
